Our Experience at GW

Overall, everyone enjoyed this course very much. We were given the ability to visit places we had never been meet many new people, and learn many things about business. We covered many different kinds of topics, such as marketing, online analytics, CSR, and business ethics, among other things. Hopefully we can take what we learned in these two weeks and apply it to our careers someday.

World Wildlife Foundation Visit

On Wednesday, we went to WWF in which we learned a lot about ecosystem and  the living condition of wildlife.

There is a roof that is utilized to cultivate a bunch of adorable plants as a beautiful garden.

You can have a nice view of sightseeing by standing on the luxuriant roof.

I'd love to take a walk on it everyday.

1776 Business Incubator Visit

On Tuesday, July 14, all of our group had been to 1776 Business Incubator, spending a wonderful afternoon.

We were very interested in the devices in the room, including this  3D printer.

The style of decoration was at liberty.

I think it's a ideal place to work.

The White House

On the way to the Chamber of Commerce we passed by this cool house. Decided to take a pic. I wonder if someone important lives here...

Our professor Stuart allowed us some time to take pictures, as you can tell.

Annapolis, Maryland

Recently, The GW Pre-College Programs took all of us to Annapolis Maryland this past Saturday. We were able to explore many aspects of the city and get a lovely change of scenery from Washington D.C.

We first started by taking a tour of the U.S. Naval Academy located in the heart of Annapolis. We were able to get an inside look of the university and learn what it's like to go there. Every student in attendance there must serve at least three years after they graduate to repay their country. They have several traditions and a long history that was fascinating to learn. Their buildings reached to the sky and were one of the most beautiful campus facilities I'd ever scene.

To end the day, we took a tour of the Maryland state house and were able to explore many of the historic settings of were Geroge Washington himself stood. The original Senate is replicated there as well as were Washington seceded as president.

Lastly, we were able to explore the shops of Annapolis for an hour or so before heading back to the bus and traveling back to D.C.

China Air Pollution

In China, where l come from, people are suffering from a severe issue that air pollution occurs the most days of a year. We hardly see blue sky with pure white clouds floating on it so that the most Impressive view that the United States left to me is the blue sky.

This is a nice shot of an academic building at the George Washington University. I can imagine how many people in China will be jealous since they are not so lucky like l am to get the opportunity staying at a place that is so nice for a while.

    How spacious the sky is!

l appreciate the blue sky that is common to Americans so much. If you have seen the sky in China, you won't think l'm ridiculous. On the contrary, people in China have to worry about the air quality.

I love my country deeply but we have to admit the importance and urgency of the effort for saving the environment and purifing the air.
